ABOUT DAN E.T.

Dan E.T. is the latest musical venture from singer/songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Danny Torgersen—blending rock, reggae, ska, and jazz into a sound that’s as adventurous as the topics he writes about—aliens, conspiracies, and philosophy.

Torgersen is known for his time as the charismatic frontman of popular “space-jazz” outfit Captain Squeegee, but has also been a staple on tour and in-studio for years with acts like Grieves, Badfish, Mouse Powell, The Irie, and Fayuca.

With Gerhardt Koelsch (drums) and Corey Groove (bass) joining the lineup, Dan E.T. creates an otherworldly fusion of rock, reggae, ska, and jazz, pairing infectious melodies with lyrics that explore cosmic themes and big ideas, all delivered with an irresistible groove.

In April 2023, Dan E.T. debuted with the reggae-inspired track RoundTrip, featuring AZ-based rapper The Kaleidoscope Kid, followed by Do You Right with frequent collaborator and tourmate Grieves. Their latest single, High Tide (Nov 2024), features reggae-rock icons Passafire, blending pop hooks, progressive rock elements, and thoughtful lyrics into a standout track.

Over his career, Torgersen has played trumpet for artists like Cardi B, Weezer, Gondwana, Authority Zero, and Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers, while touring internationally with acts like Fidel Nadal (Argentina) and Boom! Percussion. His projects have opened for the likes of George Clinton, CeeLo Green, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Ozomatli, Streetlight Manifesto, and The Aquabats.

In addition to live performances, Torgersen has composed music for film and TV and worked as a producer on various projects. Find Dan E.T. on tour and get all the latest updates at www.dan-et.com.
